Difficulty
The big question - How hard will it be?

You will need to be reasonably fit to take this tour. There are some long uphill stretches and they will tire even the most experienced cyclist. Fortunately these are few an far between- but be warned. Remember there will be a support vehicle to take you and your bike on-board if the going gets tough.

Day 2:
Jenin to Nablus

This is a 40 kilometre ride. A mixture of uphill and downhill. A little rough track. I got off and pushed on some stretches.

Day 3:
Nablus to Taybeh

From Nablus to Taybeh is about 40 kilometres. A few gentle hillsto start with then one real brute of a hill. After 40 minutes of struggle I gave up and took the support car The reward for all this effort? A long cool glass of Taybeh beer.

Day 4:
Taybeh to Jericho and the Dead Sea

This section is mostly downhill- it's easy and we pass through the hlls overlooking the awe-inspiring Jordan Valley. My favourite stretch of the tour. Jericho is 300 metres below sea level and has a reputation for being extremely hot. The distance travelled will be 45 kilometres. It will be a long day- but easy.

Day 5:
Jericho to Mar Saba

We set off from Jericho by bike. Uphill for a while. Not too difficult. Then a long stretch of level road past sand dunes favoured by four-wheel drives. Then we gett off our bikes and walk across the desert to the Mar Saba mnestary.  A pleasnt walk. But bring water and sun-block.From mar Sabah we take the mini-bus back to Bethlehem.

Day 6:
Bethlehem to Hebron

An easy day. 25 kilometres from Bethlehem to Hebron along a beautiful secluded wadi.

Day 7:
Bethlehem to Jerusalem

A short ride. Shallow hills. Easy.
